Expert for the production of a self-learning activity (online training course) - ‘The prevention of juvenile radicalisation: Promoting the use of alternatives to detention through judicial training’ EU project

International Juvenile Justice Observatory [+]

Observatorio

This project addresses the issue of juvenile radicalisation in detention, within and outside the prison system, through the sharing of knowledge and good practices between judicial professionals and actors of several EU Member States, especially those drawing on cross-sector collaboration. It is based on the assumption that efforts to promote disengagement from violence and extremism will be more effective if they are built on existing structures for crime prevention and rehabilitation. The activities proposed in this project, and especially in the training programme, target primarily the judiciary and judicial staff—judges, prosecutors and court offices—as well as other legal practitioners and actors involved in the justice system—lawyers, probation officers, educators, mediators and policymakers—as being the most susceptible group to benefit from and implement the knowledge and good practices shared and learnt through this project.

The expert will be in charge of mainly two activities:

A. Designing and developing an online course based on the training manual and hosted on the IJJO e-learning platform, the International School of Juvenile Justice. This online course will be in English. The Expert will follow the first edition of the training course with an open forum and questions and will develop a self-directed version of the online training course to be uploaded after the first session.

B. Evaluating the online course, drafting a questionnaire for the participants and analysing the results.

The deadline for applications is December 13, 2017.
